The Dragon 2

The Dragon 2 is the second in the series, the first one being the one with the red background. This one has a more traditional look but I still took the minimalistic and tribal approach for the dragon design. It was influenced by Katsushika Hokusai, the legendary Japanese artist.

I want to hold the hand inside you
I want to take a breath that’s true
I look to you and I see nothing
I look to you to see the truth
You live your life
You go in shadows
You’ll come apart and you’ll go blind
Some kind of night into your darkness
Colors your eyes with what’s not there.

Fade into you
Strange you never knew
Fade into you
I think it’s strange you never knew

A stranger’s light comes on slowly
A stranger’s heart without a home
You put your hands into your head
And then smiles cover your heart

Fade into you
Strange you never knew
Fade into you
I think it’s strange you never knew

Fade into you
Strange you never knew
Fade into you
I think it’s strange you never knew
I think it’s strange you never knew

Europa

This is a digital work entitled ‘Europa.’

This abstract piece is an homage to all the beautiful stone walls and mosaics found throughout Europe. A lot of gorgeous mosaics are found in the ancient ruins.

In Circles

In Circles

‘In Circles’ is a piece done in digital. I got the idea from seeing a spiral.

Circles commonly represent unity, wholeness, and infinity. Without beginning or end, without sides or corners, the circle is also associated with the number one. I have other versions of this piece in different colors but I like this simple one done in black and white the best.

World Map

This is a silhouette of the world set to a relic paper backdrop.

First I took an ink drawing of the world. I then ran it through a computer and superimposed it onto to a rustic paper design.

Balance

This is another one of my Pop Art pieces. It’s called ‘Balance.’

I took the Ying and Yang symbol and repeated it to form a pattern. I then varied up the colors. This one was done all by computer and was influenced by Warhol’s art, an homage to his repetition of images.

Whenever I’m alone with you
You make me feel like I am home again
Whenever I’m alone with you
You make me feel like I am whole again

Whenever I’m alone with you
You make me feel like I am young again
Whenever I’m alone with you
You make me feel like I am fun again

However far away
I will always love you
However long I stay
I will always love you
Whatever words I say
I will always love you
I will always love you

Whenever I’m alone with you
You make me feel like I am free again
Whenever I’m alone with you
You make me feel like I am clean again

However far away
I will always love you
However long I stay
I will always love you
Whatever words I say
I will always love you
I will always love you

To Thine Own Self Be True

To Thine Own Self Be True.

This is a based off a famous line by William Shakespeare. It was done by taking a relic parchment design for the background and overlaying the writing in a classic Old English type style.

This quote means to always be true to yourself and the things you believe in. Live your life for yourself and do not let others try to influence you to do things you don’t want to do. A great piece to have on your wall for daily motivation.

Electric Guitar Checkerboard

This is another one of my fun pieces of artwork. It was influenced by some famous Pop Art designs.

It’s electric guitars integrated into a checkerboard motif. It’s about Strats vs. Les Pauls.

In the guitar playing world there is a debate to whether Strats are better than Les Pauls. Les Pauls being the single cut, heavy, thick toned one; the Strat being the double cut, comfortably ergonomic, clear toned guitar. Me, I like a little bit of both.

The debate remains: which is better? Les Pauls or Strats? You decide.

I love electric guitars and Paul Reed Smith (PRS) guitars are some of my favorites. This is a video showing how they are made.

PRS guitars to me are like a hybrid of a Strat and a Les Paul. It has the classic and traditional look of a Les Paul with the comfort and ergonomics of a Strat.

If you like electric guitars and have never seen or played a PRS guitar, you must. These guitars sound amazing and are drop dead gorgeous. They are truly a work of art.
